Home care boarding
for other people's pets was started as the Canine Connection in
1984, in a private home in Newton. As the years passed, popularity
grew by word of mouth and woof to bark. The idea of the Pooch Palace
evolved from the desire to continue providing care for these "guys"
in a space designed especially for canines. In February, 1994, the
Pooch Palace opened in Watertown, Massachusetts.
The "guys" are grouped according to their size, age, and
level of energy, so that no one gets blown over or stepped on. Outside,
they can play in our fenced-in back yards that resemble a child's
playground. When inside, and at night, we have six bedrooms, designed
for each group's comfort.

A program to assist people living with HIV/AIDS and their pets.
