The Pooch Palace provides group
boarding in a converted 2-family, air-conditioned home that has
been extensively renovated with care, cleanliness and versatility
in mind.
An interview and daytrip trial and/or overnight trial are
required before a pooch is accepted for either boarding or daytripping
at Pooch Palace.
Our Specification and Custody Care Release forms
are completed by parents with details and instructions for us to
provide the best possible care for your "guy." We require current
copies of Rabies, Distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccines for our
records. New incoming clients as well as puppies under the age of
2 years are required every six months to have Parvo and Bordetella
until their second birthday.
Our "guys" must be well socialized,
agreeable and non-aggressive. Parents, so as not to change their
diets, provide a non-breakable single food bowl along with meals,
treats/cookies, mix-ins, and any medication or vitamin supplements.
Our facility features two fenced-in back yards that resemble
a children's playground with three dog-houses, tires, picnic tables
and platforms as well as awnings over the decks giving protection
from inclement weather and hot summer sun.
Pooch Palace consists of six bedrooms, designed for each group's comfort:s
The Lounge just opposite the office is for the "little guys" with three sided cribs and junior beds.
The Study next to the Pooch Kitchen is for the "medium guys" with larger beds and futons low to the floor. The Study has a set of small steps that give the "little guys" access
to their own Little Yard with two igloos, platforms and toys for sitting and sunning.
The Boudoir and Salon on the office side of
the house are for the quieter, well-mannered guys with lounges,
couches and large futons.
The Gym and Playroom have double futon
beds and allowing more floor room for playing for the more "active
guys." We supply comforters and blankets for those wanting a bit
more sleeping comfort if on the floor.
In our Pooch Kitchen meals
are prepared according to your specifications and personal items
stored on the shelves and giving access to the Big Yard.
The Lower Playroom offers open playing space during the day with direct access
from the yard and additional sleeping room at night.
The Pooch Palace has residential living quarters for two live-in caretakers, and has additional staff of five live-out
caretakers plus three groomers.
